On June 7, 2018, Richard “Red” Fields, 74 of Pricedale, Pa, departed this life. Born April 18, 1944 to the late Fred C. and Bernice Fields. Richard was an employee of QDC in Charleroi until he retired in 2017 due to a decline in his health.

He was a skilled handyman, licensed in electricity and plumbing. He was also an artist and a perfectionist in all that he did. Richard had a devoted and genuine love for his family and friends.

He became the “self-proclaimed” Patriarch of our family. Richard was the life of the party at all our family functions with his dance moves and sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and David, three sisters in law, Virginia, Deborah, and Darlene; an aunt, Roberta Galloway, with whom he made his home with in Donora for many years; his best friend, or Road Dawg” as he lovingly referred to him, Michael Burton, who passed away on February 28; and last but not least, his faithful companion, his dog Max.

He is survived by his two sons, Andre Lewis and Anthony Scott ( fiance’ Cristal Terredanio); one daughter, LaTonya Ritchie; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, all of California; a Godson, Amani West of Maine; 3 sisters, Lillian Fields of Texas, Linda Wilson of Pricedale, and Marie (Tony) Hernandez of Monessen; 6 brothers, Harold (Estelle) of California, Daniel (Velma) of Maryland, Arthur (Evelyn) and Ronald of Pricedale, Raymond of North Carolina, and William (Betty) of Monessen; two sisters in law, Josephine of Ohio, and Gloria of Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends will be received on Thurs, June 14 from 2-4 And 6-8 at Antioch Baptist Church, 945 Henry St., Belle Vernon, PA 15012, where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home, 608 Sixth Street, Monessen, PA 15062.
