Obituary for Richard “Rick” Wilkinson RICHMOND, Ind. – Richard “Rick” Wilkinson, age 56, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at Reid Health. Born December 14, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Richard and Audrey Heinzel Wilkinson, Rick lived in Richmond most of his life.

He was a 1980 graduate of Richmond High School. Rick worked as a meat cutter, a factory worker, and in the landscaping business. He was well-known in the community for, and took great pleasure in, being Santa Claus during Christmastime.

Rick loved the Lord and attended Bethesda Worship Center. He was a proud tissue and organ donor. Rick will be missed by his son, Nathan Wilkinson of Richmond; stepdaughter, Ashley Thompson of Richmond; stepsons, David (Samantha) Comiso of Williamsburg, Indiana, and Jason Comiso of Richmond; step-grandchildren, Saphira and Madilynn Hall, both of Richmond and Averi Comiso of Williamsburg; sisters, Cynthia (Michael) Kattau of New Palestine, Indiana, Monica Culver of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Linda (Wayne) Balaskovits of Naperville, Illinois; nieces, Amanda (Brian) Smith of Losantville, Indiana, Sarah Kattau of Carmel, Indiana, and Brianna Culver of Martinsville, Indiana; former wife, Elizabeth Mullins of Richmond; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 11 years, Carol Wilkinson; parents; grandparents; and extended family. Visitation for Richard “Rick” Wilkinson will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Bethesda Worship Center, 2200 Peacock Road, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Bethesda Worship Center with Rev.

Kendal Harris officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
