Ricky LaRue Norris, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Ricky was born on September 4, 1951 in Taylorville. He was the son of Charles “Charlie” and Betty Turner Locker.

Ricky worked for Fiat Allis and was a self-employed welder. He loved his children, enjoyed various music and played for Zap Comics in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Locker; and sister, Cindy Kincaid.

He is survived by children, Damien Norris of Virden, Ernest Norris of Springfield, Richard Norris of Colorado Springs, CO, Cassandra (Justin) Smith of Springfield, Matthew Norris of Wood River, Danielle Gentry of Springfield and Misty Leonard of Chatham; brother, Charles (Jane) Locker II of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned at this time.
