Obituary for Ricky Copeland Wilson – Memorial Services for Mr. Ricky Waylon Copeland, 62 of Wilson are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Heath officiating. Ricky was born July 17, 1956 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Elmer Louis Copeland and Mrs. Betty Jo (Barnes) Copeland. He departed from this life on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home south of Wilson.

Ricky was raised in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1974. He joined the U.S. Navy before graduating. He served honorably as a missile technician for 4 years.

Ricky returned to this area and worked some at Uniroyal and at Ft. Worth before joining the Army and Airborne National Guard. Ricky served full time receiving a permanent position in Oklahoma City.

Upon his retirement, he moved south of Wilson. Ricky enjoyed hunting. Preceding him in death are his parents and his brother, Jimmy Vearl.

Ricky is survived by his sisters, Shirley Louise Phillips of Wilson and Randi Lynn Burk and husband James of Ratliff City and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Gavin Phillips, Trey Phillips, Louis Weatherford, James Burk and Tyler Phillips. Online condolences may be made to www.
