Obituary for Robert “Bob” Warren Knelson Robert “Bob” Warren Knelson, 77, of Owensboro passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on August 14, 1940 in Dixon, Illinois to the late Warren Arthur Knelson and Henrietta Josephine Janssen Knelson. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching old western movies.

He loved his collie Rosie, music, and used to play the saxophone. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Elsie Sellars Knelson and his second wife, Victoria Sutherland Knelson. Bob is survived by his children Juanita “Joey” (Larry) Knelson Krack of Evansville, Indiana, Jody Dale (Brent) Knelson Collett of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Danny Ray (Kristy) Knelson of Owensboro, Kentucky, and his step-son Brian K. (Stacey) Kendall of Owensboro, Kentucky.

He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Justin C. O’Neal, Alicia L. O’Neal, Brandy N. Knelson, Jamie L. Jacke, Alex R. Knelson, and Ruby S. Knelson, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Judy Kay (Kenneth) Knelson Smucker of Athens, Ohio, and Beverly Jo (Gary) Knelson Bard of High Point, North Carolina. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Bob will be laid to rest with his family in Dixon, Illinois. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky; 3419 Wathens Crossing; Owensboro, Kentucky 42301-7009. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
