Robert Dale Oliver, 70, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Mr. Oliver was born a son of the late Hazel Fowler Oliver and Robert Willard Oliver. His profession was a general contractor but he was a “jack of all trades”.

Mr. Oliver was a member of Robert Burns Masonic Lodge #337 and the Shriners. He was a devoted family man. He loved visiting family and friends.

He enjoyed people. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice Deborah Oliver. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Marlys “Marla” L. Oliver; daughters, Theresa Oliver Floyd of Effingham, April Oliver Jacob (Hans) of Camden and Dawn Oliver Boisvert (Jody) of Columbia; grandchildren, Joshua Floyd, Jacob Floyd (Sydni), Hans Jacob, III (Katy), Olivia Boisvert, and Rolland Boisvert; great-grandchildren, Jackson Floyd and Penelope Floyd; and sisters, Josephine Oliver, Pherebie Oliver Wall, Connie Oliver Lee, all of Florence; and special nephew, Donald Wise (Cindy) of Florence.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the family’s residence. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family wishes to express their special thanks to Dr. Farhan Maqsood for his compassionate care of Mr. Oliver.
