Robert E. Brown, 84, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with his family by his side. Bob was born on January 30, 1934 in Melcroft, PA, the son of Harry and Bessie Rose Brown. He was employed as a phlebotomist at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Bob was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. He was a member of the Lake Milton Baptist Temple where he taught Sunday school. On November 5, 1951 in Summerset, PA Bob and Rachel Shaffer were united in marriage.

Cherished memories of Bob will be carried on by his wife Rachel, son William Brown of Newton Falls, daughters Cathy (Terry) Reed of Alabama, Karen Mathey of Lordstown, Lisa Matthew Himes of Newton Falls, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding Bob in death were his parents, and a sister Doris Brown. Family and friends will call on Saturday, July 7, from 9 – 11 AM at the Lake Milton Baptist Temple where services will be at 11 AM.

Interment will be at the Newton Township Cemetery.
