James A. Ritter, 82, of Leavittsburg, passed away on Sunday September 2, 2018 at the Vista Center at the Ridge. Jim was born August 14, 1936 in Windham, the son of William and Ella Jane Harbison Ritter. Jim was employed and retired from LTV in the Transportation Department.

He was united in marriage with Mabel Marie Hoover who preceded him in death on March 2014. In Jim’s spare time he enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. Cherished memories of Jim will be carried on by his daughters Holly (James) Shugart of Warren, Kimberly Laprocina of Leavittsburg, brother Philip Ritter of Newton Falls, sister Judy (Twigg) of Ravenna, grandsons Anthony Laprocina, and Howard Winkleman, Jr., and three great grandchildren Emma Winkleman, Erich Winkleman, and Zachary Moss.

Preceding Jim in death were his wife Mabel, a brother Thomas Ritter, and a granddaughter Deanna Winkleman. Family and friends may call at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home on Friday September 7 from noon – 1 PM where services will be at 1 PM with Pastor Glen Rader officiating. James will be laid to rest next to his wife at Pine Knoll Cemetery.
