Robert Johnson, age 61, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on June 9, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1956 in Teton County, Wyoming to Helen Bauguess Johnson and the late Earl Johnson. He was an electrician at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

He was of Baptist faith and a member of Surry County Beekeepers Association. Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne O’Connell Johnson; his mother, Helen Bauguess Johnson; two daughters, Shannon Jean Johnson “Jeannie” and Stephanie Amanda Johnson; two sons, Robert Alexander Johnson “Alex” and wife, Megan and Caleb Jeremiah Johnson and fiancée, Kayla Hawks; three sisters, AnnaLee Johnson Wasdell, Kathleen Johnson Tuttle and husband, Paul and Mary Johnson Russell and husband, Butch; one brother, Glenn Johnson and wife, Jan; and five grandchildren, Colby Tanner Johnson, Isaiah Levi Johnson, Wyatt Earl Johnson, Callie Anne Johnson and Lillian Paige Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Johnson and brother-in-law, Shepp Wasdell.

A funeral service will be conducted on June 12, 2018 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2 P.M. with Walter Hutchinson officiating. Interment will follow in Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday June 12, 2018 from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
