Robert Keith Rogers, 59, passed away the morning of Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Valor Hospice unit of Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. He was born on September 4, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL to his father, Robert Lee Rogers of Swannanoa and the late Mary E. Magerdal. He joined the Air Force in 1977 where he spent almost a decade before earning the rank of Master Sergeant.

Shortly after receiving this rank, Robert retired from the Air Force with an honorable discharge. Along with his father, Robert is also survived by his younger brother, Michael Eric Rogers. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with military honors.

Rev. Dr. Jeff Dowdy will be officiating the service. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Rogers Family.
