Robert L Stutzman January 07, 1944 – March 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Robert Lynn Stutzman was born January 7, 1944 in Milford, Nebraska to Glen and Viola (Burkey) Stutzman, the 4th of six children and passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Brookdale Heartland Park in Seward at the age 75. He attended country school west of Milford and later attended Milford Public School. Bob was blessed with three children, Terry, Leslie and Natasha.

Throughout his life, Bob worked for several employers, beginning as a butcher for Schlegel Grocery in Milford and later drove a truck for many years for several different trucking firms. One of his greatest passions was riding his motorcycle, especially his Honda. In his spare time, he loved going antiquing.

Bob was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at Barnes and Noble with a cup of coffee. He loved to cook, bar-b-que, and learned to make great liverwurst from Willard at Schlegel Grocery. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior on December 7, 2009, was baptized and became a member of Milford Mennonite Church on June 23, 2013.

He moved from his apartment at Linden Village to Brookdale Heartland Park in December when his health began to fail. He is survived by his children, Terry Stutzman, Lincoln, Leslie Cox, Milford, Natasha Stutzman, St. Louis, MO, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a step-son and a step-daughter, 2 step grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, Merna Schweitzer, Gail Schweitzer, Glenda and Bill Veal, Carol and Kelly Newton, all of Milford, Cheryl and Jim Pelley, Savannah, MO, step-brother and spouse, Fred and Cathy Schlegel, Lincoln, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Adina Cox in 2010, brothers-in-law, Jimmy Joe Schweitzer and Wilber Schweitzer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Milford Mennonite Church with Pastor Tim Springer officiating with lunch and fellowship to follow. A family graveside service will be held at East Fairview Cemetery, rural Milford. No visitation.

Cremation. Memorials have been established to the Brookdale Heartland Park Assisted Living Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services, Milford.
