Robert Lamont Woods, 37, departed from this life, Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born January 8, 1981 to Robert L. Sheila Ann Woods, in Zanesville, Ohio. He enjoyed being a mechanic, carpenter, and concrete finisher.

His favorite activity, was riding his motorcycle. Lamont never met a stranger and was a servant to everyone he knew, always smiling and always helpful. He is survived by his children, Ja’nian and Mikel Woods (Brenda Cantrell), of Columbus; his mother, Sheila (David Richards) Woods, of Columbus; his father, Robert L. Woods, of Zanesville; brother, Keon (Tanika) Norris; sister, Kalisha (Steven) Henry; grandfather, William J. Norris, Sr.; fiancee, Larrisha Ransom; godparents, Mark and Dena Nelms; special friends, Anthony Davis, Khristian Austin, Alicia Nelms, Natasha Bell-Teague, and Stephanie Myers; and a host of other friends and family.

Lamont is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary A. Norris, Charles Woods, and Mattie Grace Woods. You may call on the family Friday, July 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at the Greater Apostolic Church of Christ, 1651 State St., Zanesville, Ohio. Minister Nehemiah Gaiters officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
