Robert Warren Casedy, 80, formerly of Vandergrift, died April 21, 2018 at the Veteran’s Home in Pittsburgh. Born September 9, 1937 in Smicksburg to Laurie and Elinor (Little) Casedy, he settled in Vandergrift where he lived until 2012. Warren, as he was known to his family and friends, graduated from Vandergrift High School in 1955.

Warren was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the early years of the Vietnam War. Warren was a man who enjoyed simple pleasures in life.

Warren was an avid fisherman who spent many hours on the lake fishing from his boat. Warren also loved cars, owning several classic cars during his lifetime. Warren found solace watching old western television shows and movies.

Warren was a devoted son, helping to care for his mother after his retirement. Warren loved his family and although he was a man of few words, he always showed his love for his family in kindness and thoughtful gifts. Warren was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Warren is survived by his sister, Norma Jean (James) Fulton of Carlisle PA, brother Roger (Sharon) Casedy of Newton Falls OH, niece Lisa (Scott) Cawthern of Mechanicsburg PA, nephews Andrew Fulton of Owego NY, Jeffery (Jennifer) Casedy of Warren OH, and Kevin (Yvette) Casedy of Newton Falls OH as wells as great nieces and great nephews. Friends will be in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave. , Apollo, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Sara Wrona officiating.

Interment in Smicksburg Cemetery, Smicksburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wreaths Across America at https://donate. wreathsacrossamerica.org/?
