Robert van Beuge November 12, 1934 – June 8, 2018 Was born in Bandoeng, on the island of Java, Indonesia. The son of Christiaan van Beuge and Johanna Frederika Punt. Robert married Ronnie Adams in 1956, they later divorced.

He then married Elizabeth Ann Reynolds on August 10, 1973, in the Ogden Temple. He is survived by his 7 children; Douglas van Beuge, Scott van Beuge, Brendon van Beuge, Patrick van Beuge, Susanne Irvin, Derrick van Beuge, Christiaan van Beuge, along with his 16 grandchildren. Robert had two siblings Louise (Dennis, deceased) Davis of Overton NV and Christiaan, deceased (Betty Jean) van Beuge of Herriman, UT.

He attended school in the Netherlands, serving in both the Dutch Army and Merchant Marines prior to immigrating to the United states with his mother, sister, and brother. He then joined the U.S. Navy serving for 35 years, retiring at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. During this time, he graduated from BYU and also retired from Civil Service at Dugway Proving Grounds as a Management Analyst.

Robert loved his family and spent his life serving his country. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family is grateful for the love and support given to them from family, friends, and neighbors.

They would like to express their love and gratitude for care and tenderness by the skilled care providers at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. Viewing will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. , Ogden.

Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Myers Mortuary, there will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch Cemetery.
