Obituary for Rodney Dale Branum Marlow: Rodney Dale Branum, passed from this life on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Norman at the age of 69. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Terra Sisco and Rev.

Dale Nease officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Rodney was born Friday, August 27, 1948 in Fort Leavenworth, KS, to Leon Cleo and Faye “Jackie” Lorraine (Martin) Branum.

He lived in the Marlow area most all of his life and graduated with the Marlow Class of 1966. He married his lovely wife, Rovena Maxwell on June 29, 1968 in Marlow. They had 50 wonderful years together.

Rodney served in the United States Army and also worked for the family owned trucking, Southwest Trucking for over 45 years. Most of the time he would be out hauling cattle but if not hauling cattle, he would be riding motorcycles. He especially loved attending and watching anything his grandchildren were involved in.

He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow. Survivors include, his wife, Rovena Branum of the home, 2 sons, Toby Branum and wife Heather of Norman, Monty Branum and wife Kelly of Marlow, 4 grandchildren, Riley Branum, Chandler Branum, Kooper Branum, Kutter Branum, a brother, Don Branum and wife Janice of Marlow. He is also survived by a nephew, Pacer Branum and wife Angi of Marlow, niece, Sherina Barber and husband Chuck of Marlow, nephew, Brandon Branum and wife Lisa of Norman, nephew, Levi Bilbrey and wife Lindsay of Fort Worth, nephew, Brett Bilbrey and wife Courtney of Alexander, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Milton Lee Branum, and a sister, Marsha Annette Bilbrey. Pallbearers will be: Pacer Branum, Brandon Branum, Levi Bilbrey, Brett Bilbrey, Kenny Maxwell, and David Maxwell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jimmy Nichols.
