Roger D. Plute, 74 years old, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home. Roger was born on April 20, 1944, in Cleveland, OH to the late Frank and Mary Teresa (Cardamone) Plute. He has lived in South Bend since 1984.

Roger was a truck driver for Conway Trucking for over 20 years. He also worked construction and attended trade school for bricklaying. Roger was a graduate of Highland High School in Granger, OH.

Roger is survived by his four children, David Plute of Medina, OH, Erik Plute of Medina, OH, Brooke (Justin Salyer) Plute of South Bend and Samantha Plute of South Bend; five grandchildren, David Plute, Jessica Plute, Anthony Plute, Kenneth Plute and Destin Price; and one brother, Edward Plute of Florida. Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Plute. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1st at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Roger D. Plute may be donated to the charity of the donor’s choice.
