ROGER’s Obituary ROGER L. COAST, age 86, of North Olmsted, OH, passed away Monday January 14, 2019. Beloved husband of 65 years to Sara (nee Litchfield); father of Steven (Ginnie) of Colorado Springs and the late David (Annette Anatra); grandfather of Acacia, Katie, Will, Chris and Trevor Coast and Nicole Johnson; great-grandfather of Inara and Sariah Johnson. Roger was an amazing artist whose talents lead him around the United States and around the world.

He studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. His career included Promotion Art Director for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Director of Visual Design for American Greetings Corp. and Professor and Chairman of the Industrial Design Dept.

of the Cleveland Institute of Art. In expression of his love of architecture, he created a new form of art in his retirement years, framed acid etched engravings of his drawings of city skylines. Soon these popular engravings became diversified and included travel scenes, professions and United States colleges.

He displayed his work in galleries and in many art shows. Family, friends, art and travel dominated his life. He was a volunteer at Metro Hospital for 35 years, drawing children and making them smile.

He felt blessed to be in the congregation of the North Olmsted United Methodist Church. Funeral Service Thursday, January 17, at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Steiger officiating, in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS where friends may call 4:00 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.

Interment Sarasota, Fla. In lieu of flowers contributions to North Olmsted United Methodist Church, 4600 Dover Center Rd. North Olmsted, OH 44070.
