Obituary for Roland “Whitey” Yousey Roland “Whitey” Buddy Yousey, age 87, of Elkhart, Kansas, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Morton County Senior Living Community in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born October 10, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Irvin Albert and Faye (Bain) Yousey. Whitey grew up in Vinita, Oklahoma, where he received his schooling.

After graduating high school, he attended automotive school in Nashville, Tennessee. Whitey served in the United States Army from 1954 – 1957. He married Deloris Fuller on March 16, 1958, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Whitey was a millwright and worked at feed yards in Kansas, Nevada, Kansas, south Texas, and Alabama. Survivors include his wife, Deloris of Elkhart; son, Sidney Yousey of Johnson; daughters, Paula Stillwell of Columbus, Ohio, and Greta Victory of Johnson; sister, Alberta Birkes of Ashton, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Roland is preceded in death by his parents, son, Irvin Yousey; three brothers, and one sister.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Dighton Memorial Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be given to Morton County Senior Living Community Memory Care in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
