Obituary for Ronald Ferreri Ronald J. Ferreri of Naples. FL passed away peacefully at Avow Hospice House on April 20, 2018 at the age of 73. He was born in Brooklyn NY to the late Salvatore and Adeline Ferreri Ron was a proud graduate of Regis High School in New York City and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

He also received graduate degrees from the University of Connecticut and Fairfield University. After an 18 year teaching career Ron became the Vice President for Advancement at his alma mater, Regis HS and then held the same position at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. While in New York Ron served on the Xavier HS development committee, the Dominican Academy board of trustees, and the development committee of the Jesuit Seminary and Mission Bureau.

He served as the national and regional chairman of the Jesuit Secondary Education Association and became a member of the executive council of the World Union of Jesuit Alumni. After his retirement Ron helped with Development work at the Jesuit Refugee Service in Washington, DC In the Jesuit tradition he truly was “A Man for Others”. Ron enjoyed and respected the members of his Kensington Book Club and though he was a strong competitor he loved his Kensington tennis buddies.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat Donnelly Ferreri, his brother, Sal Ferreri of St. Augustine, Florida, a nephew, Ron Ferreri of Monroe, CT, a niece, Joan Stachowiak of St. Augustine and several Donnelly nieces and nephews. Funeral masses will be celebrated in Ron’s memory at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Naples on May 9th at 11:30 am and at Regis HS, 55 E. 84th St., New York City on June 16th at 11:00 am Donations may be made in Ron’s honor to Avow Hospice, Naples and Regis High School, NYC.
