Ronald’s Obituary PHILP, Ronald “Ron” Lee – of Columbiaville, age 69, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Stonegate Health Campus – Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. , Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Betty Kay Leitelt officiating.

Private Burial will be in the Deerfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 12–2 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Deerfield United Methodist Church, or the Stonegate Health Campus Lapeer Activity Fund, or the organization of your choice.

Ron was born in Flint, MI on April 22, 1949, son of the late Ronald and June (Chaplin) Philp. He spent 50+ years doing what he loved: teaching and nursing. Ron loved his students and his students loved him.

He taught Pharmacology at Mott Community College and retired in 2010. Ron enjoyed the outdoors; hiking, cross-country skiing and target shooting. He was fond of playing cribbage and cooking.

Ron faithfully cared for his parents until their passing, and loved the companionship of his beloved Brittany’s. Ron is survived by his sister, Barbara (Ronald) Neaves of Marquette; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Amy) Neaves, Pam (Dustin) Gentet, Elissa Neaves and Alison Neaves, all of Marquette; Aunts, Betty Hays of Colorado and Marion Valentine of Fostoria; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
