Rosalind J. Brown December 11, 1962 – January 10, 2019 Thursday January 10, 2019, God called Rosalind J. (Carter) Brown, loving mother, sister and friend home at the age of 56. She’s preceded in death by her mother, Yvolanda I Carter and father Eddie E Carter, Sr. Rosalind was born on December 11, 1962 in Roanoke, VA and received her education in the Roanoke City Public School System, graduating with the William Fleming Class of 1981. She furthered her education by completing the Medical Billing System Coding at Virginia Community College.

Rosalind’s passion and devotion were her sons, Nathaniel (NJ) D Brown, Jr and Navell D Brown. She is also survived by two sisters, Porschell Frye(Germantown, MD), Cynthia Williams(Charlotte, NC) one brother, Eddie E Carter, Jr(Roanoke, VA) Aunts Edmonia Saunders, Maxine(Juanita) Scott and Zaris(Johnell) Dillon, brother-in-law, Ricko Williams, Uncle Warren Dillon. Nieces,nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

She was a devoted member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and former User Board Team Member. Rosalind loved the color red. Red dresses, boots, hats.

She enjoyed her gatherings with Family and Friends talking, laughing and DANCING. All by herself. They’ve asked everyone to wear a red item in her Memory.
