Obituary for Rose Marie Halcomb Rose Marie Halcomb, 88 of Glenwood, passed away on September 6, 2018 in Rushville. She was born on January 7, 1930 in Franklin County, IN to the late Elmer E. and Sarah F. (Fox) Stone. Rose married Ernest G. Halcomb on January 7, 1950 and he precedes her in death on October 18, 2000.

She worked at Ford for over 28 years retiring in 1995. Rose was a member of the Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, watching tennis, basketball, playing cards, bingo and fishing.

Rose was an avid IU fan and loved her Connersville Spartans! Rose was in The Red Hat Society in Connersville. Rose is survived by her children, Elton (Susan) Halcomb of Rushville, IN, Connie (Maynard) Norman of Connersville, IN, John (Jane) Halcomb of Connersville, IN, and Michael Halcomb Connersville, IN; brother, Stanley Stone of Metamora, IN; sisters, Inez Kolb of Metamora, IN and Viola Browning of Clearwater, FL.

She will also be missed by her 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Rose is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Halcomb and brother, James Jr. Stone. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10 AM in Moster Mortuary, with Warren Engel presiding.

Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 5PM-7PM on Tuesday evening. Burial will be held in Orange North Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made out to American Cancer Society.
