Obituary for John E. Pittaway John E. Pittaway, 95 of Indianapolis formerly of Brazil, passed away on October 21, 2018 in Indianapolis. He was born on September 16, 1923 in Brazil, IN to the late Jack Pittaway and Ruth (Roberts) Jackson. He married Joyce (Elliott) Pittaway, (formerly of Rushville) on January 8, 1981 and she survives.

He worked at Detroit Diesel Allison from 1955 to 1986 and was a member of the UAW. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge Post #1009 and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the World War II. John is also survived by his sons, Jim (Patty) Pittaway of California, John (Emily) Pittaway of California, Randy Street of Indianapolis, and Bill (Kathy) Street of Bloomington; daughters, Jackie Toomey of Sheridan, IN, Jennifer Whitt of Mt.

Vernon, IN, Deanne Street of Indianapolis, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Danny, Dave, Cinnamon, Scott, Cathy, April, Destiny, Sarah, Josh, Jackie, Henry, Jason, Miles, Niki, and Avery; many great and great-great grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his son, Melvin J. Street; daughter, Melva J. Morton; and brother, Jim Pittaway; son-in-law, Charles Toomey.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family in the Mortuary from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery.
