Obituary for Rosie Calhoun Rosie Ann Calhoun – Gate City, VA Rosie Ann Calhoun, 92, Gate City, VA passed away, Friday, June 29, 2018 at her residence in the Manville community of Scott County, VA. Rosie was born in Scott County, VA on February 3, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Maxie Beatrice Bellamy.

In addition to her parents, her husband, William Patton “Bill” Calhoun; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Walter Rhoton; and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Nancy Bellamy preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Donita Calhoun Davis and husband, Pat, Gate City, VA; sons, Danny Lee Calhoun and wife, Brenda, Gate City, VA and Dwain Calhoun and wife, Kathy, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Shannon Lee Calhoun and Marcie, Stephen Calhoun, and Andrew Calhoun and Lauren; great grandchildren, Ryan Calhoun and Tori, Will Calhoun and John Thomas Calhoun, and Aleigha and Jonathan Calhoun; great great grandson, Berkley Calhoun; sisters, Willie Mae Kilgore and husband, John, Gate City, VA, Betty Pendleton and husband, Eugene, Gate City, VA, and Phyllis Williams and husband, Fred, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Gate City Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ricky Begley officiating. John Kilgore, Jr. and Pat Davis will be providing the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Lane Cemetery on Manville Road, Gate City, VA.

Jerry Kilgore, Terry Kilgore, Stephen Calhoun, Andrew Calhoun, Ryan Calhoun, and Will Calhoun will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will be meeting at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service. An online guest register is available for the Calhoun family at www.
