Obituary for Ruth Wanda Weems Ruth Weems, age 94, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 in Winnsboro. She was born on February 7th, 1924 in Wood County, Texas to the late W.P. Rouse and Nancy Stevens Rouse. In 1939, Ruth married her husband Bernice Franklin Weems and together they raised five children.

She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Ruth attended Coldwater Baptist church, she was also one of their longest members. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Pearl and Nancy Stevens Rouse; brothers, A.J., John and Bill; sisters, Florene Essl, Marie Fountain, Miffie King and Luella Cansler; sons, Bernace Ray Weems and Blondie Weems; and her husband of 50 years, Bernice Franklin Weems.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her son, David Weems and his wife Jolene Weems; daughters, Wanda Patterson and her husband Bick Patterson and Deb Crone and her husband Rickey Crone, all of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19th, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm, with Bro.

Ray Thompson and Bro. Donnie Chamberlain conducting. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Michael Gulledge, Rusty Patterson, Jason Brunson, Dalton Johnson, Kevin Tinney and Bobby Ganaway serving as pallbearers.
