Obituary for Sally Ann Ropeter Sally Ann Ropeter, age 76, of Bleecker, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 2, 1942 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Albert Waffle and Lillian Ayers Waffle. Sally was a graduate of Johnstown High School.

She worked at the former Central Market and later was employed at Johnstown Knitting Mill. Mrs. Ropeter was last employed as a Teacher’s Aide at the McNab Elementary School. Sally was a member of the Johnstown Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed playing bingo and loved to spend time with her family. Survivors include her husband Richard Ropeter whom she married on June 29, 1963; three daughters Debra Trumbull (Dale) of Mayfield, Tammy Fullington (Shane) of Johnstown and Penny Ropeter-Webber (Joe) of Bleecker; grandchildren Albert Gray (Beckie), Danielle Brunell (Travis), Nicole Sadowitz (Jordan), Drew Trumbull (Lindsay), Joe Webber, Jr. (Yvonne) and Cody Webber (Kara); great grandchildren Mason, Allison and Ryleigh and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.

Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown in the spring. Memorial visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in Sally’s memory may be made to a charity of the giver’s choosing.
