Obituary for Salvatore James Saccullo SALVATORE JAMES SACCULLO OCTOBER 24, 1924 – APRIL 7, 2018 Salvatore James Saccullo, “Uncle Sam”, most recently of Antioch and American Canyon, CA passed away peacefully at his home in Antioch on Saturday April 7 with his family by his side. Born to Italian immigrants, his parents Vernea Cefalu and Gerolamo Saccullo, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He shared life with four siblings and survived polio.

He graduated from West Allis High, then went to trade school. In California, he lived in San Mateo, Burlingame, American Canyon and Antioch. He retired from US Steel after 25 years as a drafting and designing engineer.

Later became a Real Estate Broker. Sam was a longtime member of Holy Family Church, enjoyed gambling and racing. Sam married Connie Ferrell on 8/8/2008, until her unexpected passing about a year later.

Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Teresa Beck and Concetta “Connie” Ferry; as well as his brother Anthony “Tony” Saccullo. Survived by his brother Serafino “Fino” Saccullo. Nephews: Troy, Tony and Mike Ferry; Rick and Jimmy Beck; Mark Saccullo.

Nieces: Rita Girman, Jeanne Bear, and Kathy Stuenkel. 18 Great Nephews and Nieces; and 23 Great-Great Nephews and Nieces. Stepdaughters: Celeste and Cheryl Ferrell and Cerrito Ferrell-Wyant.

Step-grand-daughters: Taylor and Mikayla. And many more… Friends may visit Tuesday April 17 from 4-8pm with a Rosary at 7PM at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, American Canyon, Wednesday, April 18th at 9:30am, followed by procession for burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo.
