Obituary for Sam McGlothine Sam G. McGlothine, age 68, passed away July 22, 2018 at his home near Smiley. He was born in Smiley, Texas on March 23, 1950, to Willie and Ollie Inez (Canada) McGlothine. Sam was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Willa Dean McGlothine.
He is survived by two sons: Robert McGlothine and wife April, and Sam McGlothine and wife Angie. Also surviving are two sisters: Judy Ann Billings and husband Jim, Linda Chappell and husband Doug, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and many friends. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Smiley Baptist Cemetery with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at the cemetery.
The Rev. Michael Cowey will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
