Savita Anil Dholakia, 80, of Franklin passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Gulab and Rukmani Dalaya. Mrs. Dholakia was born in Karachi, India and later moved to Bombay in 1947.

She worked with the family business in New York City for 30 years as a jewelry and gemstone wholesaler before moving to Franklin. She met her husband, Anil Dholakia, while attending college in India on an athletic scholarship and majoring in business. She was very family oriented and she loved her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends deeply.

She loved to travel with her husband throughout the world. Survivors include her husband, Anil B. Dholakia of Franklin, daughter, Varshana Dholakia (Earl McGaughey) of Franklin; sons, Ketan Dholakia of West Palm Beach, FL and Sam Dholakia (Donna) of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Shawn Dholakia of Atlanta, GA, Raja Dholakia of West Palm Beach, FL, Andrew Dholakia, Isabel Dholakia and Caroline Dholakia all of Melville, NY; brother, Deepak Dalaya of Mumbai, India; nieces and nephews, Vijwala Dalaya, Raju Dalaya, Saroj Chawdary and Ashish Dalaya; and a sister in law, Pramila Sullivan (William). A private service was held for the family.
