On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 Shannon Roselie Ashment, loving wife and mother of 6 children, passed away at the age of 79. Shannon was born March 11, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Kumen and Madge Talbot. On May 1, 1959, she married Dean M Ashment.

They raised two sons Tony and Pat, and three daughters Kris, Kathy, and Beck. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in architectural engineering and computer design. She successfully started and grew two small businesses; Little Things Mean A Lot and Inclipz.

She had a profound love of music whether she was preforming, teaching or composing for herself, her family or others, it was a big part her life. Shannon was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in different callings over the years. Shannon was known for her kind and compassionate spirit.

She is survived by her husband Dean Ashment; sister Sharron Miller; brother Jack Talbot; four children: Kristy (Bruce Wilson), Patrick (Christine Ashment), Kathryn (Richard Weaver), Rebecca (Nathan Hollist); 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Shannon was preceded in death by her parents; her brother K’Dell Talbot; son Tony Ashment; and daughter Beth Anne Ashment. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Battle Creek Eighth Ward Chapel, 1250 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 -10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www. olpinmortuary.com.
