Sharon Alice Forberg, 76, of Blackduck, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Sharon was born in Manitowoc, WI on September 5, 1941. The family moved to New Rockford, ND and Sharon graduated from New Rockford High School.

She attended North Dakota State University, graduating with a BA in Home Economics with a minor in English. After graduation she student taught in Riverdale, ND and later taught Home Economics and English… Read More » at Jim Hill Junior High in Minot, ND until 1966. She married Omar Forberg in July of 1966.

After Omar’s service in 1969 and after giving birth to their son Clint, they moved to Boulder, Colorado, later Michigan, and subsequently Bemidji, MN. Sharon worked at Wal-Mart in Bemidji for 10 years until retiring to their home on Little Gilstad Lake near Blackduck. Sharon was a member of the Blackduck Garden Club and was a Nationally recognized doll maker, a talented painter, and loved her flower beds and life!

She is survived by her husband Omar, a son Clint, and 3 granddaughters. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7 from 1 to 3 pm at Cease Funeral Home in Blackduck, MN.
