Obituary for Sharon Hunley Sharon F. Hunley, 74, of Surgoinsville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (10/6/18). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caretaker to anyone in need. She was known as Nanny by all the children she loved and cared for and Momma Sharon by all her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Hunley; parents, George and Bess Christian; sisters, Kathleen Gilliam, Marie Dykes, Roxie Wagner, Bill Way, Delores Way, Maggie Christian, Helen Collins; brother, Don Christian. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Christian (Anthony); son, Terry Hunley (Amy); grandchildren, Tyler and Todd Hunley; sisters, Charlotte Bass (Robert) and Janie Hickman; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Earlene Barton, Charlotte McCracken and Barbara Truman. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and all the friends and family for everything said and done in our time of sorrow.

The family will receive friends Tuesday (10/9/18) from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Evangelist Herman Williams and Brother Johnny Hill officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday (10/10/18) at McPheters Bend Cemetery.
