Sharon L. (nee Johnson) Dompeling, age 77, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 with her loving family by her side Sharon is survived by her husband, Theodore A. Dompeling; her children, Kenneth (Kathy) Dompeling, Joanne (Bill) Harris, Colleen Bradbury, Michael (Kathy) Cech, and David (Lisa) Cech; grandmother of 16 grandchildren; brother-in-law, David (Kathy) Dompeling; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wagner and Katherine Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Vivalore Johnson; brother, Bruce A. Johnson; and grandson, Jacob Cech. Sharon was born on April 9th, 1941 in Minnesota.

She moved to Chicago at the age of 13. Sharon and Ted were married in 1981. She loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

She also enjoyed boating and fishing at the lake. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice and The Alzheimer’s Association at ALZ.org A celebration of Sharon’s life will begin on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. Obituary and Tribute Wall for Sharon L.
