Rosemarie Gossen nee Gambacorta, age 88, passed away peacefully June 16, 2018. Born to Josephine & Philip Gambacorta, Rose lost both her parents, mom at age 6 and her dad at age 8; she and her sister Helen Roesel were raised by her grandmother, Mary McCure. On May 7, 1953 she married John Gossen and welcomed there only son Gary (Cindy Blagg) Gossen.

In addition to her son, Rose leaves behind granddaughter Jayme (Josh) Cameron and their sons Alex and Matt; Grandson Bradley (Missy) Gossen and their children Karli and Kaden. Rose doted on her great-grandchildren. Rose enjoyed gift wrapping and making money boxes for wedding receptions and just decorating whatever it may be.

She also loved her jewelry and was well known at the Timbers for her many necklaces and bracelets. She would jingle as she walked into a room. She will be greatly missed by her many new friends at the Timbers and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice in Rose’s name would be appreciated.
