Rosemary (nee Sears)”Rosie” DelRose, age 87, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Rosemary is survived by her children, John (Rose) and William (Leane) DelRose; grandchildren, Jason (Jenica) DelRose, Gina DelRose, Jennifer (Matt) McCann, Tyeler, Savana, Jarett DelRose; great grandchildren, Gianna, Jocelyn DelRose and Violet McCann; sister-in-law, Jackie (late William) Sears, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Patsy C. DelRose; parents, William and Emma (nee O’Brien) Sears; siblings, William Sears, Margaret (Lenny) Wotjak and Ron (June) Sears.

Rosemary was born on May 4, 1931 in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and very involved in her St. Ambrose parish community. She attended all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, loved playing bingo, was an avid Cubs fan and was always the life of the party.

Rosemary was the matriarch of the entire family and will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosemary’s name to St. Ambrose Church. A celebration of Rosemary’s life will begin on Thursday, June 14, 2018 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to join them on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
