Joan E. Bozic Age 82, passed away Saturday June 2, 2018 at Senior Star in Romeoville. Survived by two loving sisters Marilyn (Bozic) Tarizzo; and Nancy J. Bozic; beloved Aunt of three nephews Jeffrey (Teresa) Tarizzo, Gary (Conny) Tarizzo and David (Lisa) Tarizzo; one niece Marlene Tarizzo; cherished great Aunt of Annalisa, Matthew, Isabella and Antonio. Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Mary (Skroko) Bozic; brother-in-law Dr. Richard Tarizzo.

Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident, she graduated from St. Francis Academy, Joliet Junior College and received a Business Degree from Eastern Illinois University. Joan worked for Meadow Gold Dairies as office manager in Joliet and transferred to Champaign and worked at Borden Foods until retirement in 1995. Lifelong member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, past President of the Naperville Dominic Club and was treasurer for the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #175.

Joan loved to travel and went to Europe at a young age. She was a very kind person, with a gentle soul and shining spirit. She loved to baby sit the children and grandchildren of her sister Marilyn and volunteered at Catholic Charities, Shepherds Table.

Funeral from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, Wednesday June 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Capital Campaign of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church would be appreciated.
