Sharon Lee Walters, age 71, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born December 30, 1946 in Bedford, PA to the late Thomas and Leona (Hite) Swann. Sharon was a graduate of Bedford High School and a member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Carlisle.

In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, crochet, knitting and cross-stitching. She especially enjoyed her cell phone and social media. Sharon spent countless hours watching her granddaughters play softball.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gene Walters; son, Kevin Walters and wife Katrina of Carlisle, daughter, Kelli Gregg and significant other Jeremy of Carlisle; granddaughters, Kayleigh, Kirstyn, Addyson, and Averie; and her beloved Yorkshire Terriers, Miley and Jazmine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Rodger Wilson and her Yorkshire Terriers, Sasha and Tessa who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Matthews United Church of Christ, 3240 Spring Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Timothy P. Dugan officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s name to the Children’s Miracle Network at www.
