Shelley Lynn Saltzgiver , June 25, 1949 — May 28, 2018

Shelley Lynn Saltzgiver, 68, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s Eternal care, Monday, May 28, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle, Hanover. Born June 25, 1949, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert H., II and Geraldine (Bolden) Miller. She was the step daughter of Janie Miller of AZ.

Shelley was the loving wife of the late Martin L. “Marty” Saltzgiver with whom she shared 44 years of marriage until his passing on March 20, 2014. Mrs. Saltzgiver was a 1967 graduate of South Western High School and Gettysburg School of Cosmetology. She was a licensed Beautician.

Shelley was a member of St. Bartholomew’s United Church, ECLA. She worked as a clerk at Kings Department Store and later at Hanover Direct. Mrs. Saltzgiver enjoyed flowers, was an avid gardener, loved music, vintage movies and classic TV programs.

Shelley is survived by her two sons, Shaun M. Saltzgiver and wife Stacey of Hanover, PA, and Jamie M. Saltzgiver of Hanover, PA, one granddaughter, Mariah L. Saltzgiver, one brother, Albert H. “Buddie” Miller, III, one half-brother, Greg Miller and one half-sister, Mindy Miller. She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara R. Menges. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Shelley will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Bartholomew’s United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, PA, with Rev.

Steven E. Thomas officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with family will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA and from 10:00-11:00AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Shelley may be made to St. Bartholomew’s United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, PA 17331, or to Sweet Charities Cancer Patient Fund, PMB 154, Suite #5, 1150 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
