PAUL—Sherrie Lynne Paul, age 55 of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Friday morning, January 25, 2019 after a year long battle with cancer. She was born January 31, 1962 in Corning, NY, the daughter of James Paul and Vernabelle Thomas Paul. She is survived by her son Jared Lee Paul and her two brothers James L. Paul and Rustie L. Hibbard.

Sherrie was a gift to so many people, with a kind and sharing heart, always willing to help others. She was an employee at the Boy’s Home where she spent many selfless years caring for “her boys”. Despite the challenges she faced with those boys, they loved her, respected her and appreciated the fact that although she was not their Mom, she loved and cared for them.

Following the closure of the Boy’s Home, Sherrie continued to work with the disabled as a care giver. She was a great blessing to her brother, James and his family, when their children were young and times were challenging with the merger of two households. She often took care of others in their homes, cleaning and caring for them and their animals.

She truly LOVED her animals and they all so loved her. We have all shared our Sherrie stories, some funny, some sad, but we all love and appreciate her for the special person she was. As she crosses that Rainbow Bridge, she will be greeted by our parents and her beloved dog, Dakota, with her familiar statement, “Come give Momma kisses”.

No doubt there will be many shared at that reunion. We all miss her so much, as will so many others. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday February 1, 2019 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blandinig Blvd.
