STOPPA—Mr. Frank Jacob Stoppa, age 72 of Jacksonville, FL passed away January 15, 2019. He was born August 14, 1946 in Williamsport, PA, the son of Frank George Stoppa and Pauline Taddeo Stoppa. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen Stoppa; his daughter Shawn Renee Ressler (Norman); his sons Richard Lee Miller (Barbara), Steven E. Miller (Danielle), and David M. Miller (Carol); also 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; his sisters Ann E. Berninger (Sam), and Suzanne Wheal (Dan); his brother Albert Stoppa (Becky); many other loving family members and friends.

Frank is remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He worked in the transportation industry as a car hauler, and was especially proud of his service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He also dedicated his time and talents in serving Sacred Heart Parish in Jacksonville, FL and the Knights of Columbus.

He will be deeply missed by many people. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5752 Blanding Blvd. , Jacksonville, FL 32244 with Fr.

Denis O’Shaughnessy celebrant. Following the Mass, Frank will be sent home to Williamsport, PA where he will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery at a later date. Family members will greet friends on Tuesday morning immediately prior to and following the Mass at Sacred Heart Parish.
