Obituary for Shirley A. Hoppe Shirley A. Hoppe, 76, of Van Dyne, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at her residence. She was born on March 12, 1942, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Arnie and Evelyn Bloedow Stahmann. She was a graduate of Rosendale High School, Class of 1960.

On September 30, 1961, she married Leland C. Hoppe at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eldorado. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2011. Shirley worked at Miles Kimball for almost 40 years.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, in Eldorado. Besides enjoying her family, she enjoyed gardening and was an avid Packer fan.

She is survived by her children: Wendy (Tony) Switzler of Rosendale and Roger Hoppe of Van Dyne; two grandsons: Arzak Hoppe and Matthew Switzler; two granddaughters: Katrina (Eric) Leal and Kazra Hoppe; two great grandchildren, three sisters: Bonnie (Lyle) Stratton, Kathy Piehl (special friend Wally), Donna Thompson; three brothers: Dale (Shirley) Stahmann, Kevin (Dolly) Stahman and Brian (Charleen) Stahmann; a sister-in-law, Karen (Ronald) Kuhn; numerous nieces and nephews and special family friend, Dale Piehl. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters. VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Ev.

Lutheran Church, N7987 Town Hall Road, Eldorado. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, with Rev.

Aaron Odya officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rosendale Cemetery. Special thanks to Pastor Aaron Odya, Agnesian/SSM Hospice and the Cancer Center Staff & Dr. Michael Jones.
