Shirley Ann’s Obituary Shirley Ann Caroline Schienschang, 83, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away at 5:04 p.m. Tues. Feb. 19, 2019 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.

She was born Feb. 4, 1935 in Valmeyer, IL to the late Dwight & Ella J. (Lieb) Ruch. On May 27, 1967, she and William Schienschang Sr. were married in Dupo, IL.

He preceded her in death Dec. 16, 2003. Shirley had been a self-employed hairdresser for over 30 years, operating her shops in Madison, IL and Edwardsville.

She was a member of the Amvets #51 Ladies Auxiliary and loved to spend time with her friends playing dominoes and gambling. She is survived by 2 daughters: Teri Nunn of Lebanon, IL and Gina (Robert Schien) McMurray of Edwardsville; a step-daughter: Sally (J.R.) Ketterman of Troy, MO; a son: Mark (Felicia) McMurray of Bunker Hill, IL; 2 step-sons: William “Lee” Schienschang Jr. of Edwardsville and Tony (Geri) Shcienschang of Rochester, IL; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Ethel Mae Weilbacher of Granite City. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ruch.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mon. Feb. 25, 2019 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with cremation to follow.
