Edna’s Obituary Edna Imogene Wallace, 93, of Granite City, IL died on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Stearns Nursing & Rehab Center in Granite City, IL. She was born on December 4, 1925 in Clinton, AR to William Thomas and Myrtle nee: Burns Whitworth. Edna married Lowell Wallace who preceded her in death in 2013 after 71 years of marriage.

The loving mother and grandmother was a member of Tri City Assembly in Granite City and also a member of Parma Church of God. She was an avid quilter who loved and cared for her family. Edna is survived by 2 daughters: Melba June Evans of Granite City, IL and Janice (Jackie Ray) Bush of Granite City, IL; 7 grandchildren: Rickey Dee Evans, Brenda Kay Evans-Powell, Sandra Christy Evans-Spiroff, Reginald Wallace, Pamela Wallace, Michael Ray Bush and Jesse Claude Bush and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Edna is preceded in death by 2 sons: Jimmie Dale Wallace and Carl Gene Wallace; 4 brothers: Opal Whitworth, Chestel Whitworth, Porter Whitworth and Oscar Whitworth and 2 sisters: Irene Dugan and Bertha Mooney. Professional services entrusted to the care of Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory of Granite City, IL. Burial will be at a later date where Edna will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, MO.
