Robert’s Obituary Robert Leroy Powell Jr., 45, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Fri. Mar. 22, 2019 in Collinsville.

He was born Jan. 9, 1974 in Belleville, IL to Marsha Kay (Link) Powell of Dupo, IL and the late Robert Leroy Powell Sr. On Jan. 24, 1996, he and LaDonna Rae McDonald were married in Edwardsville.

She survives in Collinsville. Robert loved working on cars and was a mechanic for A-Rod’s Automotive in Collinsville. He attended Alpha & Omega Christian Fellowship.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter: Haley Lutes of East St. Louis, IL; 2 sons: Rory McKee of Collinsville and Brett Powell of Dupo; 5 grandchildren: Axel Powell, MyKenzie Lutes-Smith, Corleone Lutes-Smith, Freyja McKee and Chloe Arnotti; 3 sisters: Tammy Powell of Collinsville, Tina Powell of GA and Lisa Monroe of Troy, IL; a brother: Justin Cain of Dupo; and a half-brother: Mike Plantz of IL. The family will hold a memorial service from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Noon, Thurs. 3/28/19 at Alpha & Omega Christian Fellowship, 3301 Harvard Pl.
