Calandina “Calley”‘s Obituary Calandina “Calley” Antoinette Hayes, 90, of Pontoon Beach, IL died on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home. She was born on October 9, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Armondo and Ellenora nee: Rossomano Laratta. Calley married Jake Hayes and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2001.

The loving mother and grandmother was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in St. Louis, MO for 15 years then she became a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church. Calley is survived by 2 daughters: Sheila (Gil) Hippey of Glen Carbon, IL and Barbara (Donald, Sr) Cooper of Pontoon Beach, IL; 2 sons: Lawrence Dalton, Sr of AR and Daniel Dalton, Sr of Pontoon Beach, IL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a sister, Elvera Hale of CA.

Besides her husband and parents, Calley is preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Dalton; several brothers and sisters and a daughter in law, Kay Dalton. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at St John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City, IL. Online guestbook and obituary available at www.
