Obituary for Shirley Ann Micelle (Rodrigue) Shirley Ann Rodrigue -Dumesnil – Micelle, 83, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on December 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was a bright-eyed lady full of life. She loved people and never met a stranger.

Her outgoing personality and generosity was welcoming to everyone she met. Her profession was a hairdresser. In the early 1970’s she owned “McNeese Plaza Beauty Salon” on Ryan St. Several Years later she worked at the family owned barber shop, Rodrigue’s on Kirkman Street.

After retiring from her profession, she worked several years for weight watchers as a leader. She attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church in her younger years of life and Glad Tidings Church in her later years. She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Vivian Rodrigue, her daughter Linda Dumesnil West, her grandson, Aaron Chapman, and two brothers Bert Rodrigue and Jerry Rodrigue.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jerry Micelle, son, David Dumesnil, three daughters, Renee Dumesnil LeBleu and husband Dwight, LeeAnn Dumesnil Neumann and husband Dave, and Shirline Dumesnil Brydels and husband Leon, daughter Regina Dawn Micelle and son Jerry Anthony Micelle, Jr. and wife Brenda, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister Lurline Duplechain. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM.

Pastor Gary Evers is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Memories and words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.
