Shirley Diane Lunsford, age 69, of Bluff City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 8, 2019, from the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Shirley was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Savannah Guy Carrier and was born in Bristol Virginia. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Ryder Memorial Presbyterian Church.

She loved spending time with her family and watching movies, over the years she enjoyed cookouts with her family along with camping and fishing. Those left to cherish her memory include, her devoted husband of 50 years Albert Lunsford Sr., of the home; one son, Albert Lunsford, Jr., and his wife Theresa, of Cedar Bluff, VA; a daughter, Teresa Lingerfelt, and her husband Richard, of Bluff City; two granddaughters, Ariel Johnson, and her husband, Dalton, of Bluff City and Cheyenne Abram, and her husband Elias, of Beaufort, SC; a special cousin, Betty Ashburn, and her husband, Freddy, of Bluff City. Several cousins and extended family also survive.

A service to honor the life of Shirley will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 7:00 PM, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City, with Mr. Garry Cole, Pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM-7:00 PM in the chapel prior to the service Monday. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Crumley Cemetery, on Hickory Tree Rd, in Bluff City.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM on Tuesday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Sullivan County Emergency Medical Services Team for the care shown to Shirley. Online condolences may be shared with the family on our website, www.
