Miss Joyce Brown, age 68, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Joyce was born in Elizabethton to the late Hagy and Mabel Winters Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Joyce was a homemaker and a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. She loved to spend time with her sister. Joyce also enjoyed watching animals and especially loved her cat, “Oreo”.

Those left to cherish her memory include her twin sister, Janet Brown, of Elizabethton; and her special nieces, Shirley Shell and Carolyn Green, both of Roan Mountain and Sandra Crumley, of Banner Elk, North Carolina. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Miss Joyce Brown will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Bowling Cemetery with Reverend Hunter Greene, officiating.

Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the American Cancer Society, 861 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37909. Online condolences may be shared with the family on our website www.
