Shirley’s Obituary Shirley Starrett Pressley, age 88 of Rockcrusher Road, Lexington passed away Saturday evening at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 15, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Everhart officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday night and at other times at the home on Rockcrusher Road. Shirley was born in Gaston County, NC October 31, 1930 to Mack Ray and Edna Sherer Starrett. She was a retired employee of PPG and loved gardening, flowers, birds and the color Purple.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Garfield Pressley; great-grandson, Joshua Lanier and brothers, Allen and Charles Starrett. Surviving are her daughters, Wanda Peninger of Black Mountain, Judy Elkins (Mike) and Linda Stewart all of Lexington; sons, Steven G. Pressley (Danielle) of Lexington and Tony Pressley (Jeanie) of Linwood; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Delores Lackey of Burlington and Maxine Butler of Stanley; sister-in-laws, Jean and Min Starrett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
