Stanley’s Obituary Stanley A. Solow, 91, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in NY, NY, he grew up on Long Island and was a US Army Veteran. He graduated from Cornell University in 1951 and retired from General Electric.

Later, he worked for Crucible Specialty Metals. Stan loved the outdoors; spending his summers on the beach and boating in Wilmington, NC and his falls hunting in CNY and Big Moose. Winters were spent skiing at Labrador Mountain as well as many mountains throughout the northeast and Canada.

After retirement, Stanley picked up the hobby of flying small planes and volunteered with Angel Flight. Stan was dedicated to his Radisson Community and volunteered on multiple committees. Radisson honored him by naming the Stanley A. Solow Shade Shelter at the Radisson River Park after him.

Stan is predeceased by his companion, Anita Kesel and daughter, Rickie Solow. Stan is survived by his son, Peter (Elise Goodheart) Solow; daughter, Jennifer (Shawn) Tourville; stepson, Richard (Lisa) Kesel; stepdaughter, Donna (Brad) Hack; brother, David (Maria) Solow; 7 grandchildren and a niece & nephew. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 30th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
